The difference between diaphragm filter press and box filter press

Diaphragm filter press and chamber filter press are two common filter presses on the market now, both of which are batch pressurized solid-liquid separation equipment. Both of them can be used for various media filtration, with good filtration effect and low moisture content of filter cake.

Difference 1: Different filter plate structures
The box type filter press adopts two types of filter plates that are staggered and spliced together, one is a solid filter plate and the other is a frame filter plate.
The diaphragm filter press uses two different types of filter plates, one is a solid filter plate and the other is a hollow filter plate, and the filter plate used in the diaphragm filter press is double-sided with a diaphragm cavity.

Difference 2: Different filter cloth styles
The box type filter press uses a square filter cloth, which has a completely different appearance from the previous two types of equipment. The diaphragm filter press uses two filter cloths connected in the middle to form a single filter cloth.

Difference 3: Different formation of filter chambers
The filtering chamber of the box type filter press requires two solid filter plates combined with a frame filter plate.
The diaphragm filter press is composed of a solid filter plate and a hollow filter plate.

Difference 4: Different feed pressures
The pressure requirement for the feed pump of the diaphragm filter press is to reach 1.5Mpa or Mpa, and it is recommended to reach 1.5Mpa.
The feed pressure of the ordinary box type filter press is ≤ 0.6Mpa.

The two types of filter presses each have their own characteristics, and when selecting, it is necessary to make a reasonable choice based on the needs.
